How do I understand the Value Assessment Score?

Our Value Assessment Score rates each comic on a scale of 1-100, where:

  • 1-30 (Green): Lower scoring, stable collecting opportunity

  • 61-80 (Orange): Higher scoring, significant collecting interest
  • 81-100 (Red): Highest scoring, premium collecting opportunity

How do I customize my grading cost preferences?

You can customize your grading costs in the app's Preferences section:

  1. Open the Comictrics app
  2. Go to Settings or Profile
  3. Select "Preferences" or "Grading Costs"
  4. Adjust the following settings:
    • CGC grading fees
    • Clean & press costs
    • Shipping fees
    • Regional cost adjustments
  5. Save your preferences

These custom costs will be used in all future investment calculations and recommendations.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store:

iOS (iPhone/iPad):

  1. Open Settings app
  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Find Comictrics and tap "Cancel Subscription"

Android:

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap Menu > Subscriptions
  3. Find Comictrics and tap "Cancel"

You'll retain access to premium features until the end of your billing period.

Troubleshooting

App won't load or crashes frequently

Try these solutions in order:

  1. Force close and restart the app
  2. Check your internet connection - Ensure you have a stable WiFi or cellular connection
  3. Update the app - Check the App Store/Google Play for updates
  4. Restart your device - Power off and on your phone/tablet
  5. Clear app cache (Android) or reinstall the app
  6. Check device storage - Ensure you have at least 1GB free space

Login issues - Can't sign in to my account

Email/Password Login Issues:

  1. Verify your email address is correct
  2. Try the "Forgot Password" option
  3. Check your spam/junk folder for reset emails
  4. Ensure your password meets requirements (8+ characters)

Google Sign-In Problems:

  1. Update Google Play Services (Android)
  2. Clear Google app cache
  3. Try using email/password instead
  4. Contact support if you see "Access blocked" errors

Google Sign-In requires proper OAuth configuration and may not be available in all regions.

Daily picks not loading or updating

If daily picks aren't loading:

  1. Check your internet connection - Daily picks require an active connection
  2. Pull to refresh - Swipe down on the main screen to refresh content
  3. Verify subscription status - Ensure your subscription is active
  4. Check the time - New picks are typically released early morning EST
  5. Force close and reopen the app

Daily picks are updated once per day, usually between 6-9 AM Eastern Time.

Subscription not recognized or trial issues

For subscription problems:

  1. Sign out and back in - This refreshes subscription status
  2. Check your app store subscriptions - Verify the subscription is active
  3. Ensure you're using the same Apple ID/Google account
  4. Wait up to 24 hours - Subscription changes can take time to sync
  5. Contact support with your receipt number if issues persist

Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store, not directly through Comictrics.

Push notifications not working

To fix notification issues:

  1. Check app notification settings - Enable notifications in Comictrics settings
  2. Check device notification settings - Allow notifications for Comictrics in your device settings
  3. Restart the app - Force close and reopen Comictrics
  4. Check Do Not Disturb mode - Ensure DND isn't blocking notifications
  5. Reinstall the app - This resets notification permissions

Device-specific steps:
